We use Gong for every outgoing call either from Sales, Product or Customer Success. The main uses are:

  • Recording the call and registering everything that was said for safekeeping and verifying after the call every action point that was agreed with our customers
  • Reviewing the call as a team and individually to detect areas of improvement in the length of our monologues, the kind of questions we ask, how active our listening was, how much we could empathize with our customers, etc.
  • Detecting The different topics in a conversation and separating the call by these topics
  • identifying areas of improvement
  • making a very thorough summary automatically
  • offering additional tools like setting up reminders for action items, calls, etc
  • I don't really recall anything that I would mention as something that is wrong
Any team that has a direct relationship with a client via a phone or a video call would benefit from Gong. I've worked on sales in the past and these tools are the dream of every leader.

I can't think of a better way to get actual material from our performance to give us a better chance to detect areas of improvement and hone our skillset before our next call.

Even it's super fast. In merely a few minutes after the call you receive an email telling you that the recording is already ready for us to exploit it.

We use Gong to record all our demos with prospects as well as follow ups. This allows us to refer back to the action items if needed. We also share the Gong w/our prospects so they can share it within their company. This helps us to save time and make sure nothing gets missed.

I've used Gong for the past 3 years to get feedback on calls, learn from my team members, gather helpful insights from calls, and manage my pipeline.
A lot of times, I don't have enough time to take as detailed of notes as I'd like. Gong completely eliminates this issue by not only recording calls but also pointing out action items I mentioned, key points the prospect said, etc. Gong also identifies risks in my pipeline to help me better manage it and win more deals.

At first, I just used Gong to rewatch videos that contained important client talking points or to view meetings that I was not able to make. I loved that it gave me the option to speed up the talking, read the transcript, and leave notes for my team. As I began using Gong from a management standpoint, we began implementing scorecards which allowed me to provide feedback to the team on what they were doing well, and what we could improve on in future calls. Diving even deeper, I learned that you can set up parameters and filters to easily find calls that fit specific criteria. My org focused heavily on client goals and objectives during the kick-off message and this allowed me to easily see if 1) we were asking and engaging on this topic and 2) an easy bookmark and reference point to find this information. Gong has been crucial for our org from sales to CSMs, and implementation. Makes my life a whole lot easier and holds us accountable for what we say!

If you are a team who needs to review calls to see what was promised and said - Gong is very useful. The transcript makes it easy to zone in on keywords. We use Gong to record and transcribe Sales calls , as well as help with follow up tasks, and deal pipeline/forecast tracking. Gong has a wealth of features that enables me to go back and review what I said on a call, what the prospect said, what I need to do in order to follow up effectively/action items, and more. It helps us track key questions and phrases said during each stage of the sales process to improve our discovery framework.

Gong is great for tech sales teams who have frequent online calls on Zoom, Google Meet, etc with prospects and customers and would like to ensure accurate notes, timeline follow ups, and seamless handoff/customer service experiences. It also works well for coaching to ensure large teams are all using specific frameworks on calls and bringing up certain questions or topics (training usage). Gong would not be useful for a team with mostly in person meetings or a self service product where customers are not spoken to often.

Gong is wonderful and has helped me grow from being a sales development representative to an account executive. It has been extremely valuable as an SDR when I first started to listen to old reps and hear how they have become successful. This has continued as I am an account executive now and can listen to seasoned professionals and how they handled discovery calls, demos, pricing discussions, etc. It is also helpful for me if I do not have time to write down notes, I can go listen back to my calls to ensure I am up to speed on my opportunities.

We use Gong in a variety of ways. C-level takes a look at calls from sales reps to be up to date with the market. I also rely on Gong for note-taking and appreciate that it sends me a recap after every call. Most importantly, both my prospects and myself can refer back to the calls to review anything that we may have missed.

The best scenario for me is my ability to demo and not have to worry about taking so many notes. By taking all the notes that I need, it takes away from my focus on the actual call. I like that I can revisit, see the transcript, and even maybe pick up on things that I may have missed on the original call.

I use Gong to review sales calls, go back and listen to customer calls, and call coaching with my team. Gong has helped us resolve a lot of escalations that were due to miscommunication. It allows us to stay ahead of trends by picking up on key words. It also allows me to measure productivity of my team.

Gong has helped our team increase our accuracy, keep better track of large pipelines, and close deals faster. It's a tool that I would REQUIRE for any future employer to have if they except to attract great sales talent.

Gong's technology helps us gather information and records from meeting and create meeting notes from them right away. In addition to that, the admin console is an easy way to manage, monitor, and receive logs and calls from our employees. I would recommend using Gong in case you are offering a SAAS platform.

It is heavily used during onboarding, as well as by managers when coaching reps. We have had a great experience with the product.

It is helpful to replace the traditional 'shadowing' learning culture to create an on-demand library where people can learn from each other and hear best practices in calls. I love the way that Gong breaks down what the action items are. It is so helpful to scan the summary and make sure that you set any reminders, complete tasks, and add accurate notes to the account. I also like how it breaks down the talk/listen ratio.

I use Gong to track and organize follow-ups for my customer calls (QBR's). I meet with my customers regularly to deliver results and ROI as well as to have strategy meetings to drive adoption and ROI for my customers. I like that Gong keeps a transcript of the call so that I can easily use "control F" to go back later and look for something a customer said. I also recently realized that you can take notes in a Zoom call within the Gong app, which is nice in general but it is not able to be exported or downloaded which is a bummer. Overall I love having Gong as a resource so that I don't have to stress about trying to remember something I said I'd own as a follow up, or something specific a customer mentioned in one of our meetings. I can also send snippets of calls to other team members which is great for when I need to loop in technical support to help with something a customer mentioned. Gong also was key for me as a new hire so I could see how my colleagues presented their QBR's to their customers and I could use their presentations to help form my own talk track.

As a CSM, Gong is great to use for customer meeting follow-up. I can go in and easily find what I said I'd do as a "follow up" - and it highlights those key words, so I've gotten into a habit of verbally saying certain phrases like "I'll send that over" or "I'll follow up" so that when I review the call in Gong later, those things will be bolded for me to easily find. Taking notes within the Gong app in Zoom has helped me avoid taking notes in a Word doc while facilitating a meeting. However there isn't an option to download the notes and the copy and paste formatting is not great (as a CSM I have to input notes into systems like Gainsight, so improving this workflow for users would be amazing!) I used gong heavily as a new hire to watch other Customer Success Managers present data and I was able to get insight from those on forming my own talk track. You can make comments on Gong calls including hashtags for easy reference later, and you can tag in teammates in call notes to easily transition off a follow-up to someone else. Gong is great for practicing and recording yourself presenting so you can review yourself and make recommendations. Your manager can also show you some data in Gong about how often you interrupt someone, how "patient" you are waiting for a response from someone else, and the balance between you and another person in calls. I found this data really insightful as I'm always trying to improve my presentation skills. Gong has a transcript of each call which I find to be really helpful but I wish you could download it and/or reformat it. It is handy though to use with "control F" if you're looking for something specific.

I lead onboarding and training sessions for a computer software company. Gong allows us to record each training and send it to the customer so that they can review the material at their own pace and share it with other members of their team who weren't able to attend. I also appreciate how we can review a transcript of the call highlighted with follow-up items that we need.

Gong is a great tool for customer-facing teams. It's designed for sales teams to be able to track progress with client prospects and review call analytics, which is something that it does particularly well. I also find a lot of value from it in professional services, as it gives us the ability to quickly share training sessions and meetings with the customer. It's also helpful for internal meetings, as Gong allows you to quickly go back and reference team meeting recordings along with the transcription notes.

I use Gong to document discussions I have with customers and prospects, and to go back to the recording after the call to take out the action items. In addition, I can hear recordings of other team members with customers and prospects and understand firsthand the market perspective and needs around our product.

Great sales intelligence platform for sales teams. Gong makes it easy to track activities, provides call transcripts, and helps me handle calls better with insights from previous ones. It acts as a great repository of sales activity data that also helps teams get better at discovery and demo call handling.

We have Gong automatically record our calls with prospects and customers. It's invaluable when needing to go back and listen to calls to identify action items and get a better understanding of what the prospect/customer was trying to articulate or share out internally or externally. As part of the CS team, Gong has allowed me to understand what our top-performing CSMs are saying to our customers.

We use Gong to record our calls with customers. As a CSM there are various facets to my work with customers, so having my call on record helps me to verify my action items, and double check on key words used by the customers. Often there are great quotes about our product that we can pull from our calls. The use case is transparency across departments, and providing the individual users the ability to improve their delivery, techniques and learn what to avoid from listening to past calls.

We record prospecting and sales calls. We use Gong also for reminders and integrate it with Salesforce, Outreach, Dialpad, ZoomInfo, and our full suite of the sales stack. We analyze keywords, use transcripts, and analyze speaker volume (who is most outspoken). We use Gong to track our own calls and coach/manage our subordinates

We use Gong to capture all sales calls and virtual meetings. Pipeline management is also a key component in our usage of Gong. Call listening and transcript review are done almost daily through Gong. Feedback and coaching are also provided between managers and agents on the Gong platform. All of these actions are performed seamlessly and in a user-friendly manner, making Gong a welcome addition to our sales tools.

I have found since the implementation of Gong that my sales approach has changed for the better. The very few complaints about Gong are certainly nit-picky and do not take away from the overall usefulness of the software.

Having Gong allows us to easily collaborate because we can record calls to be shared internally and externally. As our entire team has access to the platform, all of the recordings are available for everyone to access - this means that messaging can be seamless across functional areas and that we never "misremember" a conversation.

At the last two companies I have been at, we have had Gong as a resource I found to be very helpful. It was implemented at both organizations for feedback purposes and increasing sales win rates. I think the initial adoption of Gong can be a challenge when reps feel like they're being listened to or micromanaged, but I find it has been extremely helpful to have the transcripts of calls to limit my note-taking and the ability to see suggestions/tips (feedback, wait time, talking time, etc.) I have been impressed with how many features Gong.io has added just in the last 2 years! I also love that I can comment and tag my colleagues so they can listen in on the recorded call. I do wish calls were recorded a bit faster - I find it takes a few hours before the recording is available. I also wish I had a direct relationship with a Gong.io CSM rep for 1:1 support so I am utilizing Gong most effectively. I would recommend Gong, it enables our teams to work smarter and become aware of habits on calls!

I don't think that Gong would be beneficial for teams who mainly work internally, like IT, product, etc. I've found when I was on the sales side, I used Gong the most, so I could tag my manager and ask for feedback around what I could have positioned better, how I could have done better discovery with a prospect, etc.

We use Gong to ideate product improvements and suggestions from the customers. Our team can directly see the feedback and search for it as Gong has the ability to transcribe calls, making it searchable across the entire organization.

Gong is best suited for my customer calls where I need to send follow up action items and a recap. I will verbally recap with cues and can go back to review the call at a later time.
